Harrison Ford always shoots first.
Fun Fact: Harrison Ford was suffering from dysentery while filming Raiders. He was too sick to film this portion of the movie, where he was supposed to use his whip to disarm the swordsman, so Ford apparently suggested to Spielberg that he shoot him as a gag. And thus, a great scene was born.
